Like can you have a wireless extender plugged into the wall and connect it to your desktop with an ethernet cable? Will that give you internet? I know a lot of wifi extenders have ethernet ports but I'm not sure.

Like for example can I plug this into the wall

and get internet from it directly via ethernet cable?

and if this works would it be a better alternative to using a usb wireless adapter? I've dealt with a lot of faulty usb adapters.
